E.M.Bae

E.M. Bae is a Michigan-raised, Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and live hardware artist whose sound is rooted in the rich traditions of Chicago House and Detroit Techno. Blending minimal/deep tech, ghetto tech, and hard groove, her sets are groove-driven, hypnotic, and playfully unpredictable, balancing raw underground energy with intricate rhythms and unexpected melodic moments.

As a resident DJ for Hood Rave an LA-based collective championing Black underground dance music and community, E.M. Bae is dedicated to cultivating dance floors that celebrate connection, expression, and movement. She has provided direct support for international artists including Andata, LOVEFOXY, Rae Cola and Waajeed, bringing her distinct sound to spaces ranging from intimate lounges to sweat-soaked warehouses. Wherever she plays, her approach remains the same: read the room, build the energy, and keep bodies moving.

Beyond the decks, E.M. Bae explores the intersection of rhythm, texture, and spontaneity through live hardware performances. Her original productions and live sets weave hypnotic percussion, stripped-back grooves, and playful melodic elements into evolving sonic landscapes. With an approach that is equal parts technical precision and creative curiosity, E.M. Bae creates immersive experiences that are deeply rooted in underground dance music while leaving plenty of room for the unexpected.
